High-speed cell sorters (FACS — Fluorescence-Activated Cell Sorting) are a unique class of instruments that physically isolate individual cells from mixed populations based on multiple parameters: forward and side scatter (size, granularity) and up to 30+ fluorescence parameters (antigens, viability, proliferation). They are used in immunology (isolation of T/B lymphocytes, NK cells, regulatory Tregs), hemato-oncology (sorting of CAR-T cells, CD34+ stem cells), gene therapy, single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq requires upfront FACS sorting), reproductive medicine and monoclonal antibody development. Modern sorters run at up to 90,000 events/s, deliver 98%+ purity of the sorted population and maintain >95% viability for sensitive cells. KombiMED supplies solutions from BD Biosciences (FACSMelody, FACSAria Fusion), Sony (MA900, SH800) and Beckman Coulter (MoFlo Astrios, CytoFLEX SRT) — with staff training and method validation.
